Unfinished Finished navigates the processes of image making, with any manipulation taking place in camera rather than post production. Still life is seem as a platform to create and construct, employing the use of use of colour, composition and elements such as sheets of paper to create a space in the image that at first looks like a void space, to represent part of the image that is unfinished and yet to be created. This responds to the idea of pixels on a grid directly relating to brush strokes on a canvas. The untitled image is a resolved image, with all of its canvas complete and when presented with the opposing in-complete image, they work together to underline the title. This work explores pictoral space and depth, interrogating photography’s 2d qualities.
